William Bethram Phillips

Oldest know history origin is Oregon, US
went to Walla Walla, WA in 1860

In 1861 he open a little hardware store at 22 West Main Street.
In 1865 he built the Walla Walla foundry and machine shops, which
he operated in connection with his hardware business.
He also had branch hardware stores in Bannock City and Placerville, Idaho
where he did a lucrative business with the mines.
In 1873 he sold the Hardware Store in Walla Walla, which is now the Drumheller Company.
